Atlanta United given good odds to win 2018 MLS Cup - Dirty South Soccer (blog)

Atlanta United will begin the 2018 MLS season with high expectations. The team finished 4th in its inaugural season despite playing in two different home stadiums with extended road trips and a compressed final six weeks of the season. Of course, several question marks are still around the team as the season is set to begin next weekend. The team still hasn't played a game with its starting 11 on the field together at the same time and the departure of Carlos Carmona seems to have fans, or at least bloggers, on edge.

Obviously, a lot can change between now and December, but having a fighting chance to make the MLS Cup match would be something most fans would take in a heartbeat. At least for now, the people who make their bones betting on sports have a lot of confidence in Atlanta United. After an uneven preseason, that should give fans a boost heading into the season.
