NBA DFS for February 23: Best DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy basketball picks - CBSSports.com

Before you enter a daily fantasy basketball tournament for NBA action on Friday, you need to hear what professional DFS player Mike McClure has to say. McClure has more than $1 million in career DFS winnings and is rolling through the NBA season, already cashing multiple tournament and cash game rosters.

He has been able to do all that thanks to some spot-on picks.

On Thursday, McClure locked in Warriors guard Stephen Curry for $9,300 on FanDuel, a $1,000 discount on his pre-All Star break price. The result: Curry had 44 points and 10 assists, good for 68.2 points on FanDuel, his highest total of the entire season.

Anybody who had him on their roster was well on their way to a huge DFS night.

For tournaments on Friday, McClure is all over Phoenix Suns center Alex Len at $4,500 on FanDuel and $4,800 on DraftKings.

Len is expected to get the start against the Clippers in place of Tyson Chandler (neck), and that should lead to plenty of opportunities to pay off his tiny price.

Len went for 14 points and seven boards when Chandler sat out the last game before the All-Star break, and he's in position to match or exceed those numbers on Friday against a Clippers squad ranked 21st in the NBA in scoring defense.

If you roster Len, you'll have plenty of cap room for a huge star like Timberwolves guard Jimmy Butler, who is $9,200 on FanDuel and $9,000 on DraftKings.

Butler has been a DFS stud this season and he rolled into the All-Star break with six performances of at least 40 points on FanDuel in his last eight games.

Oddsmakers have set the over-under for total points in the Houston-Minnesota game at 226.5 -- the second-highest total of the slate -- so expect Butler to put huge numbers yet again on Friday.

McClure is also targeting a big-time scorer who regularly goes off for over 50 DFS points, but is still criminally under-priced at less than $8,000 on both sites. He has a dream matchup on Friday, so 60, maybe 70, points on FanDuel and DraftKings could be possible. Picks like this could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing
