Lamar Jackson's tendency to keep a low profile has stretched into the final month before the NFL draft, as NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock reported Thursday that pro teams have had trouble even setting up meetings with Jackson.
"Not just work out, but appointments to meet with him, to put him up on the board, to work him out, to have dinner with him," Mayock said on NFL Network's live broadcast from Louisville's pro day Thursday. "And remember, and again I'm not taking a shot here at anybody, his mom is representing him. His mom has obviously his best interest at heart, but you're doing the kid a disservice if NFL coaches and general managers are calling and you can't even get an appointment set up."
Jackson said at the NFL scouting combine four weeks ago that his mother will represent him for the time being and that he will not hire an agent.

Jackson said he has worked out privately with his trainer Joshua Harris, who led his throwing drills at pro day. Jackson did not run the 40-yard dash or do any other agility drills Thursday.
Asked about that decision, Jackson reportedly told Mayock, "Game speed will tell it all. Gotta catch me first."
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported separately that Jackson did a private workout with the Houston Texans. Mock drafts have linked the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback to the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals, among other teams.
