Heat's Bam Adebayo a finalist for NBA Block of the Year - Sun Sentinel

Miami Heat rookie center Bam Adebayo is a finalist for "NBA Block of the Year," one of several fan-voted categories to be part of the June 25 NBA Awards show.

The finalists announced Wednesday for Block of the Year are:

Miami's Bam Adebayo vs. Bucks

Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. Trail Blazers

Phoenix's Marquese Chriss vs. Hawks

New Orleans' Anthony Davis vs. Jazz

New York's Kristaps Porzingis vs. Suns

In addition to voting at NBA.com, fans can vote on social media by posting #AwardName and First/Last Name of their winner (i.e. #BlockOfTheYear Bam Adebayo).

The NBA Awards show is June 25, at 9 p.m.

This season's Dunk of the Year, Block of the Year, Clutch Shot of the Year, Assist of the Year and Handle of the Year will be unveiled during TNT's coverage of the NBA Western Conference Finals, with the five category winners serving as finalists for the Play of the Year, which will also be determined by fan voting.

Fan-voted awards will be announced in addition to all of the NBA's traditional end-of-season awards including Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man Award, Most Improved Player, Coach of the Year, Executive of the Year, NBA Sportsmanship Award, Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award and the season-long NBA Cares Community Assist Award.

Voting for those awards was completed prior to the start of the playoffs.
