Philly vs DC rivalry

The Philadelphia Union and DC United might not be having spectacular seasons. However, there is room for one of these clubs to improve this weekend. This rivalry is one of the more interesting ones in the MLS.

One of the reasons being that these clubs rarely ever square off on a big stage. The heart of this rivalry has been in league play, with very little on the line besides bragging rights.

However, this Saturday's matchup is going to be aired on Twitter. This is not the grandest stage, but one that perhaps still means something to both clubs.

Both of these teams need a big break. They could both use three points to try to stay afloat in the East. The Union might have the home pitch advantage, but DC refuses to believe they are out of Cup contention. Beating their rival for all of Twitter to see would be a big start in proving that.
