Tom Brady fumbled a chance to win a sixth Super Bowl ring this year, but the New England Patriots quarterback is back on top as champion of NFL merchandise sales.

For the second time in three years, Brady started and ended the season No. 1 on the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Top 50 Player Sales List, according to an NFLPA news release issued Thursday.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott finished No. 2, followed by Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.

The list, based on total sales of officially licensed NFL player-identified merchandise, tracks year-end results from March 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018, according to the NFLPA.

The NFL's fiscal year essentially runs from one Super Bowl to the next. Brady also led sales for the fiscal year in 2015-16, while Elliott led sales in 2016-17.
